E' stato ristampato in dvd “PopMart Live from Mexico City”, il documento audio-visivo del concerto tenuto dagli U2 all’Autodromo “Foro Sol” di Città del Messico il 3 dicembre 1997.

E' stato ristampato in dvd “PopMart Live from Mexico City”, il documento audio-visivo del concerto tenuto dagli U2 all’Autodromo “Foro Sol” di Città del Messico il 3 dicembre 1997.

“PopMart Live from Mexico City” è stato diretto da David Mallet ed è già uscito in vhs nel 1998; questa è la prima volta che viene pubblicato in dvd. Descritto come “sci-fi disco supermarket”, il PopMart Tour debuttava nella sua “casa spirituale”, ovvero a Las Vegas, il 25 aprile del 1997.

Originariamente girato in analogico, il materiale è stato trasferito in formato digitale, ripulendo di molto la qualità visiva. Parecchia cura è stata riposta nel mantenere il look originale, semplicemente arricchendolo di contrasto e definizione; anche l’audio è stato rimasterizzato e missato in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound. PopMart Live from Mexico City è disponibile in 2 formati: una “Single Standard Version”, contenente 1 solo dvd con il concerto, e una “Special Limited Edition” doppia con il secondo dvd contenente materiale inedito (sia audio che video) e documentari, un tour visivo del montaggio del PopMart tour, nonché contenuti dvd-rom extra.
