Michele Conta (medico e pianista, già con La Locanda delle Fate) all’esordio solista con Endless Nights

Michele Conta (ex pianista e compositore dello storico gruppo rock progressive Locanda delle Fate) ha pubblicato il suo primo disco come solista dal titolo Endless NIghts, pubblicato da AMS Records con distribuzione BTF.

Ha avuto l’umiltà di contattarmi, dopo esser stato colpito dalla nostra iniziativa in cui regaliamo cd nuovi per superare la pandemia, perchè il fine è quello di aumentare le endorfine e così avere delle potenziate difese immunitarie, grazie a dosi abbondanti di musica.
Mi ha infatti scritto .. Siccome come lavoro faccio il medico di base, mi ha attirato particolarmente la vecchia ricetta rossa che hai sulle immagine di copertina …

Michele Conta  was born in Asti (Italy), at the age of 10 he began studying piano at the G. Verdi Music Institute of Asti under the guidance of organist and composer of sacred music Giuseppe Peirolo; he continued his studies at the A. Vivaldi Conservatory of Alessandria with the concert artist Maria Gachet. At the age of 17 he becomes a pianist and composer of the music of the Rock progressive group LOCANDA DELLE FATE. The debut album is called FORSE LE LUCCIOLE NON SI AMANO PIU’ produced in 1977 by Niko Papathanassiou (brother of the great Vangelis) for the record label Polydor / Universal and the album is universally considered a masterpiece of progressive rock. After this album Michele Conta feels the need to become a doctor grows, he leaves the professional music and devotes himself to the study and the medical profession, which he still performs today. But he always continued to compose himself on his own until a few years ago he decided to record some of the compositions with the help of the sound engineer and co-arranger Simone Lampedone. In 2015 the great American producer and rapper Dr. DRE chooses his piano arpeggio of VENDESI SAGGEZZA… and uses it as a sample in the song” For The Love of Money “contained in the CD Compton. This CD comes in Nomination as Best Rap Album at the GRAMMY AWARD 2015 and Michele Conta recognizes copyright for Italy and the rest of the world. Then the film inspired by it (STRIGHT OUTTA COMTON) will be nominated for the best screenplay at the Oscars in Los Angeles. Now finally his cd ENDLESS NIGHTS is out by AMS Record (BTF.it  Distribution);  six tracks recorded in TURIN  and  ABBEY ROAD studios in London. In some of these tracks there is the King Crimson drummer Gavin Harrison; in ather tracks there is italian drummer Lele Melotti , the guitarist is  Ermanno Brignolo of Sidney, Simone Lampedone (co-arranger and sound engeenering ), Frank Arkwright (sound and mastering engeenering).
