Un brivido mi corre lungo la schiena: finalmente giustizia è fatta e la mia band rock preferita avrà il suo giusto riconoscimento! La foto usata è una delle più punk mai realizzate dalla band, con David Knopfler con il ciuffo a banana ..

La cerimonia di premiazione avverrà il 14 Aprile 2018 a Cleveland (Ohio): oltre ai Dire Straits, saranno nominati i Moody Blues, The Cars, Bon Jovi e Nina Simone. Fra gli artisti che erano entrati in nomination ma non arriveranno alla Hall of Fame, ci sono Kate Bush e Radiohead..

Introspective lyrics with out-of-this-world guitar and drum sounds made them one of the most original rock bands of the 80s..
